Reason Why Sharon Cuneta Rejected 2 ABS-CBN Offers Including “The Voice”
SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta revealed the reason why she rejected “The Voice” and another ABS-CBN offer.
One of the reality television singing competition shows that has hooked a lot of people is The Voice of the Philippines. It is a show under the ABS-CBN network.
In the previous season of The Voice, there were four(4) judges whose teams compete in the grand finals. They are theater actress and singer Lea Salonga, actress-singer Sarah Geronimo, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, and singer Bamboo Mañalac.
Recently, another season of The Voice has started. However, the set of the judges has reduced to three(3). Megastar Sharon Cuneta is not anymore one of the judges.
Based on a report on Pep, Sharon Cuneta revealed the reason behind rejecting to do The Voice. She also revealed that she turned down another ABS-CBN offer.
According to the singer-actress, she cannot anymore handle the emotional stress that the show is giving her during elimination period. It is a part when the judges have to choose among the members of their own teams.
“So I told Mr. M noong May na, ‘Mr. M, I don’t think I can do The Voice.’ It stresses me out, yung mag-e-eliminate at saka mga bata [sila],” she said.
Based on the report, Sharon clarified that she is not saying anything negative about the other coaches and she has always been emotional. According to her, she does not want to be a part why something from the dream of a child could be taken away.
Also, the Megastar revealed that she received another offer from ABS-CBN. However, she turned it down as it does not fit her. If there’s a show that she would be glad to have again, it is Your Voice Sounds Familiar.
