Here’s How Americans React After Tasting Filipino Halo-Halo
AMERICAN – Here’s the video of Americans in New York City tasting the Filipino dessert ‘halo-halo’ for the first time.
Filipino’s favorite shaved ice dessert ‘halo-halo’ is the top-selling food during the summer. It’s a concoction of evaporated milk, crushed ice, and various ingredients like coconut strips, gulaman, sweetened bean, ube, banana, and jackfruit among others.
Lots of foreigners are among the people who are obsessed with the Pinoy dessert. Even the South Korean all-girl group Momoland confessed that they intrigued by the taste of the famous Filipino dessert.
The Youtube vlogger Xiamanyc recently featured the ‘halo-halo’ on his vlog. He previously let his fellow Americans choose the best Pinoy chips brand and pick the most gorgeous Filipina celebrity.
In his latest vlog, he bought several cups of ‘halo-halo’ made by ‘Kabesera Café,’ a Pinoy food shop in the US. The video garnered 737,158 views and 4,224 comments as of this writing.
In the description of the video, he said he aimed to spread a small piece of the Filipino culture in New York City. He offered the ‘halo-halo’ to several Americans at the Washington Square Park and asked for their reaction. Most of them loved the Filipino dessert but there are also some who are not very satisfied with the taste.
