Vanessa Walters Responds To Her Title Being Stripped From Her
VANESSA WALTERS – The teen beauty queen took to Instagram to share her thoughts regarding news that she was stripped from her title as Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019.
Vanessa’s title was removed by the Miss World Philippines Organization themselves. They are the governing body that oversees the competition.
Vanessa had won the crown in last month’s Miss World Philippines 2019 pageant. However, she was accused of “misrepresentation of her credentials”, as well as “unprofessional behavior”.
Adding to this, she was also accused of indecency because of some of her daring posts on social media. This was according to a public statement made by National Director Arnold L. Vegafria.
Based on an article from When In Manila, Vegafria said that Vanessa skipped official events and walked out on meetings. The Director added that she also refused to sign contracts with the organization.
He also added that Vanessa had been sharing her nude photos on social media. She was also seen to be publicly sharing alcohol and tobacco use.
Aside from this, Vanessa was revealed to be only 16 years old. Her age does not meet the required minimum age to enter the Miss World Pageant.
Vanessa had not given an official statement regarding the subject. However, she had reposted reactions from fans and friends on her Instagram stories.
One of the reactions was from former beauty pageant contestant Roxanne Acosta.
Acosta stated that she was on Vanessa’s side. She even added that she should sue the organization for publicly shaming her and breaching her privacy.
She added that she could only imagine the Pressure Vanessa is experiencing as well as the negative impact on her well being. Acosta then expressed her disappointment with the beauty organizations.
She also said that the announcements made the organization is very damaging. “They don’t even think for a second time how damaging their announcements could be the kind of bullying these girls encounter“, Acosta said.
