Regine Velasquez Shares Discrimination Experience While Buying Shoes at Louis Vuitton Store in NY
REGINE VELASQUEZ – Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasques shared her discrimination experience while buying a Louis Vuitton shoes in New York.
Filipina actress Regine Velasquez is considered among the prominent singers in the country. She has done several sold-out concerts.
In 2018, Asia’s Song Bird transferred at the Kapamilya network to follow her husband Ogie Alcasid and work with other celebrities. She is currently one of the performers at the longest-running weekend noontime musical variety show, ASAP.
Regine Velasques is obviously one of the most successful celebrities. However, she revealed on her latest Youtube vlog that she experienced discrimination in another county
The 49-year-old singer said she experienced discrimination at a Louis Vuitton store in New York. Her horrible experience is similar to Julia Robert’s character Vivian in Pretty Woman, a blockbuster movie in the 90s.
Regine Velasquez said she went to New York to find a particular she saw in the magazine. She was so excited to go straight to the biggest Louis Vuitton store in the city.
“I went to Louis Vuitton, yun yung may pinakamalaking Louis Vuitton. I went, I was so excited, kasi tour yun, e, so I couldn’t wait to go to New York to get this freaking shoes,” she said.
The moment she entered the store, she saw the shoe being displayed. When she asked the salesman if she can try them, he declined her request. Regine admitted that she felt slightly depressed.
“And when I got there, nakita ko na, nandoon sa display… sa umpisa pa lang, sinabi agad sa akin, wala akong size… hindi ako binilhan [binentahan]…”
“Na-discriminate agad ang lola niyo so na-depress ako nang very very, light,” she added.
Asia’s Songbird said she went to Neiman Marcus, a shoe store in front of Louis Vuitton. She ended up purchasing 20 pairs of shoes then went back to Louis Vuitton and finally buy the shoes she obsessing with.
