This would be the perfect conditions for frogs and toads to roam around without drying out. If you have ever held a toad, you would’ve noticed that it has wet skin.

This liquid is secreted by the animal as a means to keep the frogs hydrated and cool. If exposed to the sun or dry climates for extended periods, they would dry out.

There is also another reason that frogs love to come out during rainy days. Because of the right conditions set by the rain, they use this as an opportunity to find a mate.

During the rainy seasons, there will be a lot of breeding going on during the night. This would mean that you would be hearing a lot of loud croaking.

That’s primarily because male frogs croak to attract females. Afterward, female frogs would go near a body of water or puddle.

The male would then ride on the female’s back. Next, both would release gametes (female unfertilized egg and male sperm), which fertilizes in the water.
