Metallica’s Main Vocalist James Hetfield Enters Rehab After Struggling With Addiction

The metal band Metallica’s frontman James Hetfield has re-entered a rehabilitation program and the band’s upcoming tours were canceled.

Metallica is one of the most popular and known heavy metal bands all around the world who popularized the metal genre. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles and continue to make good music until this present time.

The vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrichformed the band and recruited additional members such as guitarist Dave Mustaine (Megadeath), bassist Ron McGovney, and Jason Newsted.

Recently, the band members; drummer Lars Ulrich, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Rob Trujillo announced that James Hetfield has re-entered a treatment program after struggling with addiction for years.

The band also announced that their upcoming tours in Australia and New Zealand from October 17-29, 2019 will be canceled. The group has been scheduled to play at least five shows in Australia and four gigs in New Zealand.

The Metal group did not further details and information but apologized to the fans for canceling their upcoming tours. The band members also announced that fans who purchased tickets for the canceled show will receive automatic refunds.
