Palawan Is Among The World’s Beautiful Islands Once Again
PALAWAN – The island province of Palawan is once again voted as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.
According to PhilStar, CNN Travel’s Jen Rose Smith described the province as a “gorgeous haven of pale and clear water.”
Smith further added that the rugged cliffs and mangroves are the province’s scenic foils of its many secret beaches from El Nido to its exclusive paradise getaway.
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River is the province’s most remarkable hiding place.
Tourism secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said that their rehabilitation efforts to preserve its beauty was well recognized, further thanking CNN for acknowledging it.
As per the report, other islands that are in CNN’s travel list are the following:
- Milos, Greece
- Bartolome, Ecuador
- Fregate, Seychelles
- St. Lucia, Lesser Antiles
- Jura, Scotland
- Komodo, Indonesia
- Senja, Norway
- Mo’orea, French Polynesia
- Kawa’i, United States
Along with Boracay and Cebu, the province is also included in the list of the Best Islands in Asia in 2019 by Travel + Leisure. It is also in the website’s Best Islands in the World list
