Disappointed Consumer Slams Meralco After Estimating His Bill Instead of Giving Meter-Based Reading
A disappointed client expressed its disappointment towards Meralco after estimating his monthly bill instead of giving meter-based bill.
The Manila Electric Company, also known as Meralco is one of the biggest electric power distribution company in the Philippines. The firm provides electricity towards 22 cities and 89 municipalities along the National Capital Region.
The power distribution company hires employees such as linemen, disconnector, clearing team, and meter-reader. Each of them have specific tasks to perform throughout the entire day to maintain the electricity operation.
Most people and business establishments relies on electricity to keep the industry moving and to maintain their source of income. However, power consumers are required to pay their monthly electricity bill based on the meter reading.
Recently, a Facebook user named Rolando Angel has expressed his disappointment towards Meralco for allegedly giving him an estimated reading instead of issuing a meter-based reading, which is more accurate.
In the video, it can be seen that Rolando is interrogating the meter reader on how can he read the digits in a blurry meter display. The disappointed consumer said that the digits are not visible anymore.
The meter reader explained that Meralco is just allegedly estimating his meter reading per month.
