J. Michael Mendel “The Simpsons” Producer Died at the Age of 54
“The Simpsons” and “Rick & Morty” Producer J. Michael Mendel has passed away at the age 54 years old, two days before his 55th birthday.
J. Michael Mendel, the award-winning producer of “The Simpsons” and “Rick & Morty” for an unidentified reason. US television network Adult Swim that broadcast Rick & Morty announced the death of the producer and expressed their condolences of Mike.
“He guided and supported a generation of artists, writers and creators and his absence will be felt by the entire community. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues,” Adult Swim said.
Justin Roiland, Mendel’s co-creator also expressed his condolences for the death of his friend.
Mike Mendel is a respected producer who had already won Emmy awards and helped to create 207 episodes of “The Simpsons” and produced 22 episodes of “Rick and Morty”. During his work the projects won multiple awards.
Mendel is born on September 24, 1964 and studied at Syracuse University before working on projects including “Big” and “Jerry Maguire” wherein he work as a production assistant on “Broadcast News” in 1987.
