Daughter Shares Photos of Her Dad’s Talent In Sewing Dresses, Gown Creations
DAUGHTER – A proud daughter showed off her father’s amazing talent in sewing dresses and gown creations on social media.
Lots of people were late to discover their talents or capabilities. Some of them just find it out when they’re pressured to do so just like the father who went viral in the Philippines today.
Recently, a talented dad gained a lot of praise after his daughter proudly shared his admirable creations on social media. The post was shared on the Facebook Page of Philippine Star.
Based on the caption of the post, Toni Masil said her father is a home economics instructor at Francisco Nepomuceno Memorial High School in Pandan Angeles City, Pampanga. She said her dad started learning how to sew after he was directed to teach the Dressmaking subject.
The 18-year-old girl’s dad said he doesn’t want to face his student without learning how to sew so he taught himself how to do patters and sew. She said all his abilities only came for Youtube tutorials.
“Daddy started sewing no’ng binigay sa kanya ng school nila ‘yung subject na Dressmaking… Ayaw daw po niya humarap sa mga students na hindi alam ang ginagawa niya so nag-aral po siya gumawa ng patterns and magtahi (sa tulong ng) Youtube”
Toni said the first gown that her father created for her was s Belle costume that she used for their school activity. Since then, he’s the one who makes gowns for his two daughters.
“I needed a Belle costume so naghanap po kami ni dad ng mare-rent. Wala po kami makita so tinanong ko po siya ba’t di na lang niya ako gawan ng gown? And ginawa naman po niya…”
“I’m just proud and I want everyone to see,” she added.
