Ricky Reyes Thumbs Down SOGIE Bill, Talks About LGBTQ+ Rights

RICKY REYES – Gay icon Ricky Reyes aired his thought and opinions about the right of the LGBTQ+ members and the SOGIE Bill.

Following a previous article, Filipino actor and talent manager Ogie Diaz shared his thoughts about the controversial restroom issue. He wrote a lengthy post on his Facebook account saying LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) members should be free to use which toiled they prefer to use as long as they respect other users.

Ogie suggests that LGBTQ+ members should stop asking for their separate restroom. He believed that showing respect to other people is better than having a third restroom for themselves.

Ricky Reyes said gay’s affairs should be kept among themselves. It’s not really that necessary to proclaim that to everyone and force them to accept or understand that.

“Ang affair ng mga bakla dapat sa atin lang ‘yan. ‘Wag nating pangalandakan. Bakit pa kailangan sabihin sa madlang people na ‘Huy, intindihin mo nga ako. Bakla ako,” said Reyes.

Ricky Reyes was also asked about the SOGIE bill which is now pending in the congress. “Kung ikaw may nota, sa lalaki ka. ‘Pag may kipay ka, sa babae ka. Nirerespeto kita bilang tao, nirerespeto kita bilang bading, pero lumugar tayo sa tamang lugar,” he answered.

Despite being in a relationship for 4 decades now, the 69-year-old hairdresser said he’s not in favor of the same-sex marriage. He believed that it is only for the man and a woman.

“Ang kasal ay para lamang sa lalaki at babae. Mayroon kasabihan sa Catholiscism na sacrilege – pambabastos sa relihiyon. ‘Wag na. Ang pagpapakasal bigay natin sa babae’t sa lalaki ‘yan. ‘di ba. Kung gusto niyong mag-union, eh ‘di mag-union kayo,” he said.
