Because of this, Rama assembled an army of monkeys and bears in order to rescue Sita. Rama and his allies stormed Lanka, slayed Ravana and eventually rescued Sita.
For Sita to prove her chastity, she entered fire but was liberated by the Gods. She was then returned to her husband.
After their victorious return to Ayodhya, Rama continued his rule. This then lead to a golden and prosperous age for all mankind.
