3 Family Members Died Due To Fire in Tondo

The fire incident in Tondo this morning, September 11, unfortunately left three(3) members of a family dead.

One of the most devastating incidents that can happen anytime is fire. It can break out and leave families grieving not only for the loss of properties and livelihood but also for the loss of lives.

It can be caused by a lot of factors that is why it is really hard to prevent. Often times, it is a result of electrical problems or gadgets and appliances not turned off for a long period of time.

Recently, a fire took place in a part of Tondo. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it did not only left damaged properties but it also left three(3) people from the same family dead.

The victims of the incident include two(2) children – Leo Lance Tequillo and Andre Tequillo. They are four(4) and five(5) years of age respectively. The other victim is Mara Beneza, 23 years old.

Mara is the mother of Leo Lance and the aunt of Andrei. Their relative, Michelle Bacanza, identified the victims. According to her, they were trapped inside the house amid the incidnt.

Based on the report, Manila Fire District Intelligence and Investigation Chief Inspector John Joseph Jalique said that Mara and the two(2) children were found inside the burnt house. They were embracing each other.

The incident started at 6:17 in the morning today and it reached the second alarm. Currently, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.

Arson or an act of setting a property in fire is one of the possible reasons eyed over the incident. Reportedly, Bacanza said that the residents were allegedly ordered to vacate the place or their properties will be burnt.
