PAGASA – Yellow Rainfall Warning Over Areas In The Philippines On September 9 (Monday)

PAGASA – Weather state bureau PAGASA recently raised a yellow warning signal over some parts on the Philippines on Monday (September 9).

The bureau raised the signal over the following areas at 11 AM Monday:

  • Zambales
  • Tarlac
  • Bataan
  • Pampanga
  • Bulacan

A report from GMA states that the bureau warned that floods will occur especially in low-lying areas.

The yellow rainfall warning indicates that 7.5 up to 11.5 millimeters of heavy rains is expected to fall in one hour and will prevail in the next two hours.

Light to moderate rains will be faced by the following areas:

  • Metro Manila
  • Quezon
  • Cavite
  • Laguna

As per the report, on the other hand, in two to three hours, the following areas will face possible persisting light to moderate rains:

  • Nueva Ecija
  • Rizal

The bureau earlier spotted a low pressure area (LPA) that is spotted at the eastern coast of the country. Once it turns into a tropical storm, it will earn the title “Marilyn”.
