82-YEAR-OLD WOMAN – Here is the video of the 82-year-old woman striking and stabbing an armed robber with her walking stick.
We can’t deny that there are lots of wrongdoers these days. Some of them have no qualms of hurting other people just to get what they want. In a previous article, a man broke into Taylor Swift’s mansion in Rhode Island.
The authorities said it was the first time that a robber successfully entered the superstars’ mansion. They also said that no one was at home during the incident.
Recently, another robbery incident happened in the United Kingdom. But this time, there was an elderly woman who stopped the armed robber. Based on a report from the New York Post, an 82-year-old woman who was a shopkeeper fights off the robber with her walking stick.
On September 3, around 6:30, the grandmother of three, June Turner was at the cash register when the armed man entered the store. The guy covered himself with a blue blanket and demand for cash.
According to the report, June Turner refused to give the money and instead hit him with her walking stick. It can be seen on the CCTV footage that she’s striking and jabbing the robber with her stick. She has been using the walking stick for three years now after she broke her hip.
“He came in with this blanket around him and I could only see his eyes. He came up to the counter and said ‘I want your money’ but I said ‘You’re not having my money’ and with that he came round the back of the counter and got some money from the till,” she said.
Based on the report, the man stole £50 and 6 packs of cigarettes. He gave the elderly woman a black eye and pushed her to the ground. He then ran away from the store. The old woman remained on the floor until a customer came in to help her.
