URINARY SYSTEM – Check out these significant details and information about the human urinary system coming from its organs and their function.

The human urinary system is also known as the renal system which includes series of organs responsible to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood pH. And for normal excreting process of fluid waste, the organs must need to work together.

Here are the organs of the urinary system and how they work:

  • Kidneys – The two kidneys inside the body is placed below the ribs and they are the ones who remove waste products and drugs in the body, release hormones for blood pressure regulation, balance fluid of the body, and production of red blood cell.
  • Ureter – The two ureters in the body carry the urine to the bladder from the kidneys. It is important to note that stopping your urine can develop an infection.
  • Bladder – This can be found at the lower abdomen and a healthy bladder can keep two cups of urine for two to five hours. This is located in the pelvis between the pelvic bones.
