Why Iñigo Pascual and Maris Racal Didn’t Become An Official Couple

One of the loveteam in the Philippine entertainment industry that has gained prominence is MarÑigo – the loveteam of Kapamilya stars Maris Racal and Iñigo Pascual. Previously, something special was between the two(2) celebrities.
Maris and Iñigo have worked on several projects together. They were also very close to each other and are vocal that they treat each other as a special person. Their fans and supporters were rooting for them to be officially together in real life.
However, Maris Racal and Iñigo Pascual‘s special treatment to each other did not lead to an official relationship. Many are undeniably curious as to why they did not become a couple amid their sweetness and closeness before.
Based on a recent report on Pep, both Maris Racal and Iñigo Pascual have broken their silence on why they did not become a couple. It happened during separate interviews at the media conference of their movie I’m Ellenya L.
Maris admitted that she fell in love with Iñigo. But she clarified that they never became a couple and it is because they both wanted to focus on their respective careers.
“Ang dami pa niyang gusto [Iñigo], like, gusto niya maging international… ayaw din ma-distract,” she said.
Based on the report, Maris expressed that it was hard for her and Iñigo to end things but they are friends. It was the Kapamilya actress who chose to end things between her and the singer-actor.
In a separate interview, Iñigo Pascual expressed that Maris Racal needed someone who will be there for her and he is not that person. He admitted that it is hard for her to see the actress not getting what she deserves.
“She obviously deserves someone who will be there for her. That’s the bottom line of it, I just could not be there for her. The reason why we cannot make it official,” he expressed based on the report.
Meanwhile, according to Maris, she and Iñigo are happy that everything is clear now between the two of them. She admitted that their set up before was complicated. Now, it is easier for them to work together.
