Sunshine Cruz Reacts On Possible Release Of Antonio Sanchez

SUNSHINE CRUZ – Actress Sunshine Cruz gave her take on the possible release of convicted former mayor Antonio Sanchez.

In our previous report, she is one of the celebrities who reacted against the possible release of the ex-Calauan mayor. Other celebrities who reacted to it are movie director Antoinette Jadaone, host Bianca Gonzalez, Dra. Belo’s child Quark Henares, and actress Aiko Melendez.

In Sunshine’s post, she is alarmed at the release since she played the role of the victim Eileen Sarmenta in a movie under Regal/Golden Lions entitled “Humanda Ka Mayor! Bahala Na Ang Diyos!” (Get Ready Mayor! It’s Up To God) directed by Carlo J. Caparas, which also stars Aga Mulach, Kris Aquino and more.

Cruz further added that she remembered being scared of actor Dick Israel (born Ricardo Vizcarra Michaca) who played the role of Sanchez but under the name Mayor Miguel Beltran. Cruz noted that because of Israel’s exemplary acting, it felt real and scary for her.

She then told the people saying that Sanchez should be freed to think twice, further adding that if this happened to their relatives or daughters, they will surely renounce what they said.

She then said that it’s scary how there are these type of people that never had remorse and can do what they want. Cruz lastly said that she sympathizes with Sarmenta’s mother and family.
