Class Suspensions Declared In These Areas For Thursday (August 22)
CLASS SUSPENSIONS – Several local government units have declared the cancellation of classes over some parts of the country due to the inclement weather condition.
Over the past few days, Tropical Storm Ineng (Bailu) continues to affect the weather condition over most parts of the Philippines. The weather disturbance carrying heavy rains and strong winds brings bad weather condition in several areas.
Tropical Storm Ineng has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph. Ineng is moving 25 kph at a west-northwest direction, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.
The combined effects of Bagyong Ineng and the southwest monsoon or locally known as ‘Habagat’ prompted some schools to declare class suspensions.
On Thursday (August 22, 2019), the classes in several areas have been suspended due to the effects of Tropical Storm Ineng. The cancellation of classes has been done to ensure the safety of the students from any possible danger brought by the bad weather.
