ISIS Says They Are Behind Afghanistan Wedding Suicide Blast
ISIS – Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed the responsibility for the bomb attack at a wedding in Kabul, Afghanistan on Saturday, August 17.
We can’t deny that there are lots of who has no qualms of hurting other humans. Some of them even sacrifice their lives just to cause damages or lost some lives.
Militant group like ISIS is currently the most ruthless armed group in the world. They claim the inhumane incident happened in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, on Saturday, August 17 caused by one of their suicide bombers.
Based on a report from CNN, a suicide bomber attacked a wedding in Kabul that leaves 63 dead people and 182 wounded. Most of the victims were the wedding guests.
The spokesman of Afghan Interior Ministry, Nasrat Rahimi, said children and women were among the victims. 20 of the victims were brought to Kabul Hospital.
According to the report, an unnamed witness who lives near the venue gave a statement regarding the incident. He/she was socked after seeing the dead bodies of the guests.
“We were planning to sleep when we heard the sound of a loud explosion… when I came outside, I saw smoke coming out of the hall. I saw dead bodies and wounded people, who were being taken to hospitals by policemen and Kabul ambulances. We are too in shock, too upset by the incident.”
Based on the report, the extremist armed group, ISIS, they are behind the deadly attack at that wedding. They said a Pakistani fighter detonated the bomb amid the wedding ceremony. The group that monitors ISIS activities said a car bombing followed the initial attack.
Meanwhile, the president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani tweeted his plans for the families of the victims. “My top priority for now is to reach out to the families of victims of this barbaric attack,” he wrote.
