Netizens bashed Kiana Valenciano for littering
Kapamilya performer Kiana Valenciano received bashing for littering despite the clean-up advocacy that she has promoted in the past through her social media post.
Previously, the daughter of Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano shared a video on her Instagram account showing the garbage at a resort in La Union. In her caption, she addressed the issue of proper waste disposal and having concern to the environment. She even encouraged her fellow Filipinos to their part. “Start the change you want to see,” she said in her post last May 2018.
However, her video which surfaced on social media just recently showing what appeared to be a direct opposite of what she previously said received bashing from netizens. In the video, the young performer was with friends on the street and they were eating “balut”. Kiana was peeling her “balut” but she just threw the shell on the street.
Because of this, netizens called out her attention as they said that she should walk her talk. On a popular showbiz site, several netizens also shared a piece of their minds when they saw the video of Kiana Valenciano. Some netizens called her “ipokrita” for littering while some sasrcastically said that her clean-up advcacy is just for beaches. In addition, several others stated stated that her advocay is just for social media image.
On the other hand, there are some netizens who defended the performer. They reasoned out that Kiana just threw eggshells which considered to be biodegradable. However, other netizens slammed this reason as they said that she was still littering in the video.
