#WalangPasok: Class Suspension Declared In These Areas Today (August 15)

Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Thursday (August 15)

CLASS SUSPENSION – Several local government units have declared the suspension of classes in different areas due to inclement weather condition.

On Thursday (August 15, 2019), the classes in several parts of the country have been suspended due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or locally known as ‘Habagat’. The enhanced Habagat continues to bring heavy rains in several areas.

The local government units announced the cancelation of classes to secure the safety of the Filipino students from possible danger brought by the sporadic but intense monsoon rains.

Class Suspension

Here is the list of areas covered by the class cancelations:

ALL LEVELS

  • Itogon, Benguet
  • Kapangan, Benguet

PRE-SCHOOL to HIGH SCHOOL

  • Kibungan, Benguet
  • Mankayan, Benguet
  • Dagupan, Pangasinan

PRE-SCHOOL TO ELEMENTARY

  • Tublay, Benguet

The classes in several parts of Benguet province have been canceled for the third time this week due to the intense rainfall. Last year, Itogon has been struck by a deadly landslide during the devastation of a storm.

The southwest monsoon is the weather system that continues to affect the country’s weather condition over the past few days, which caused class suspensions and cancelation of flights.
