Proposed Design of New Bulacan New Manila International Airport in Bulacan
BULACAN AIRPORT – San Miguel Corporation (SMC) gave a sneak peek into the proposed design for New Manila International Airport in Bulacan.
The Philippines is one of the busiest airports in Asia. Millions of foreigners from around the world went to the country to visit the gorgeous beaches and provinces.
Another airport will be added to the list of airports in the country and will soon rise in Northern Luzon.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) won the bid for the New Manila International Airport (NMIA) project in Bulacan. The four-runway gateway airport is more spacious and state-of-the-art.
The planned P734 billion airport is expected to decongest the air traffic at NAIA and can accommodate 100 million passengers annually.
According to the report, San Miguel Corporation said the NMIA airport may add two more runways. The new airport in Bulacan is expected to earn “trillions of dollars” once finished.
SMC president Ramon Ang said the people in Bulacan and its nearby provinces will have lots of tourism-related jobs that came from the 35 million tourists that arrive annually.
“It will provide more and better livelihood opportunities, not to take them away, ensure environmental balance and enhance resilience against calamities, because it’s the right thing to do…“
“In other words, we envision a brighter future for everyone, but we know what’s worth achieving isn’t necessarily easy. We will face rough waters along the way, that’s why we need everybody’s help and support to make this dream a reality,” he added.
Based on the report, SMC is just waiting for the “Notice of Award” from the government so they can start the project.
