The latest styles for ladies’ sportswear, sleepwear, and lingerie are mostly seen on Victoria’s Secret items. Aside from their luxurious product, they also have gorgeous models including the Filipina Kelsey Merritt.
On May, Merrit was spotted hanging out with other VS models including the hunk Hollywood actor Zach Efron. The models surely got lots of perks in this career.
In a previous article, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Victoria’s Secret, Jan Singer, resigned due to the company’s issue with its sales and models.
Singer’s decision to resign on VS company came after the controversial statement of their marketing director, Ed Razek. He said the company refused to accept “plus-size” and transgender models.
Based on a report from Inquirer, Ed Razek said the tv special of Victoria’s Secret would never include trans woman because the runway show is a “fantasy.” He later apologized after an outrage occurred.
It seems that the management of Victoria’s Secret changed their minds on the transgender issue after they are pressured to apologize to the trans woman in the world.
According to the report, Victoria’s Secret finally hired the first openly transgender model named Valentina Sampaio.
The Brazilian actress and model who previously modeled for the lingerie and apparel line PINK.
Based on the report, Valentina Sampaio has been shared several photos of her behind the scenes of VS campaign. Her photos delight lots of celebrities including the Hollywood actress and LGBTQ advocate, Laverne Cox.
The actress commented on one of her photos: “Wow finally!”
Lots of people who call for gender equality are happy for the inclusion of the Brazilian model to the prestigious modeling company.
