Which Electrons Have the Most Energy in An Atom

Guide on the Electrons w/c Have the Most Energy in Atom

ELECTRONS – Here is a guide on the electrons that have the most energy in an atom.

One of the core subjects in the educational curriculum is Science. It is part of the pre-school years, the elementary years, the high school years, and as well as college. It has a wide range of topics.

It is under Science that life and the environment are being studied. It is also under the said subject that chemical elements are explained to the students and as well as its units.

In this article, we will talk about atom, the basic unit of a chemical element, and as well as the electron which is found in an atom.

The electron is a subatomic particle that is negatively-charged. It is found in atoms and it acts as the primary carrier of electricity in solids.

However, not all parts of an atom have electrons with equal amounts of energy. There is a part with a lower energy compared to another part of the basic unit of a chemical element.

Which electrons have the most energy in an atom?

There are four(4) parts of an atom – the innermost shell, the nucleus, the electron cloud, and the outermost shell. The part with electrons that have the most energy is the outermost shell.

Those that are found in the innermost shell have the lowest energy while those in the outermost shell have the highest energy. To increase its energy level, the electron has to transfer to a higher shell. Otherwise, it has to be in the inner shell.
