Lotto Outlets Shut Down by Police Authorities
The police authorities have already shut down several Lotto outlets in compliance with the order of President Rodrigo Duterte.
On Friday (July 26, 2019), President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the suspension of Lotto and other PCSO games. Mr. Duterte made the announcement due to the alleged corruption happening in the gaming station.
The president is now considering the gaming activities in connection with concessions, franchises, and licenses as illegal.
The 74-year-old politician ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to shut down all PCSO gaming operation.
“I have today ordered the closure, the stoppage of all gaming schemes or whatever nature however done that got the franchises to do so from the PCSO,” Duterte said.
Recently, the Facebook page “Manila Bulletin” has posted the photos of police authorities closing several Lotto outlets in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Metro Manila police chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar instructed the closure of PCSO gaming outlets in compliance with President Duterte’s order.
