Grab PH elicited criticisms for using issue about Gerald Anderson for its promotion
Transportation company Grab PH used the issue about Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson and this received criticisms from netizens.
Gerald is currently involved in cheating issue with his Between Maybes co-star Julia Barretto.
Allegedly, the two Kapamilya stars are now having an affair and it’s speculated that it took place last March.
Bea Alonzo, who everyone knows as the girlfriend of Gerald, appeared to be hinting their troubled relationship even before she posted the controversial “ENOUGH” statement on her Instagram account.
The topics about Bea, Gerald and his rumored affair with Julia, including the latter’s ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia’s seemingly reaction about this became Twitter trends.
Amid this issue netizens also created memes and funny posts on social media. With this hype online, Grab PH appeared to be taking that chance for its promotion.
Based on the article from PEP, the Twitter account of the transportation company, posted a collage photo featuring Kapamilya stars Bea Alonzo, Sarah Geronimo, Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Julia Barretto, Pia Wurtzbach.
It is known to many, that these actresses were linked to Gerald Anderson.
The post included this caption: “Walang kailangang maiwan. Walang kailangang masaktan. Sa GrabCar 6-seater, pwedeng magsabay-sabay.”
This received criticisms from netizens. Grab PH deleted the said post and issued an apology.
“We apologize for running the light! We were in now way encouraging nor condoning disrespect for women and disrespect within relationships. We admire the love and loyalty that fans have for all these wonderful women,” the transportation company stated.
In spite of apologizing for the “insensitive” post, netizens still condemned Grab PH.
