Authorities Arrest Former Davao Prison Guard Over Suspected Drugs
FORMER DAVAO PRISON GUARD – The authorities arrested an ex-prison guard of the Davao Penal Colony over suspected drugs.
The administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte continues the fight against drugs in the Philippines. The President himself has stressed how much he hates the illegal substance that destroys the people.
Currently, drug buy-bust operations are happening everywhere and people from the different walks of life were nabbed.
One of the recent operations conducted was in Talomo District in Davao City.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the authorities arrested a former prison guard of Davao Penal Colony due to suspected drugs worth Php 600,000.00.
According to the police authorities, the suspect has previously served as a prison guard for four(4) years but was removed from his post over drug allegations.
The former prison guard is one of those that are in the drugs watch list of Talomo Police Station. Based on the report, he admitted that he made it his source of income after he lost his job.
Currently, the suspect is facing charges over the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
