Manny Pacquiao Skips Duterte’s 4th SONA, Says Willing to Fight Keith Thurman Again

MANNY PACQUIAO – Senator Manny Pacquiao will be skipping President Rodrigo Duterte’s 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) today.

Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao never fail to bring pride to his country after winning the WBA Super Welterweight belt from Keith Thurman.

Their fight was attended by famous personalities like Floyd Mayweather, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and Erik Morales.

That was the 62nd victory of the fighting Senator. Boxing analysts said his performance on Saturday was his best since his win over Antonio Margarito last 2010.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Manny Pacquiao immediately went to for check-up after the fight because he wanted to attend President Rodrigo Duterte’s 4th State of the Nation’s Address (SONA).

However, the People’s Champ’s doctor did not allow him to leave too soon. His wife Jinkee Pacquiao was also against it.

Manny Pacquiao will be in Manila on Tuesday, July 23, just in time for his session in the Senate.

ABS-CBN Sports reporter Dyan Castillejo said Pacman’s eye already healed after his long rest. He previously complained about the pain on his left eye that was smudged with petroleum jelly during the fight.

According to the report, Manny Pacquiao said he would say “yes” if the American boxer will ask him for a rematch.

“Wala naman akong problema. Mas maganda nga ‘yung may rematch,” said Pacman.

Based on the report, the legendary boxer said he saw the retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. cheering for him after he knocked down Thurman on the 1st round.

“Nag chi-cheer sa akin. Napatayo, nation nga sa upuan niya nung bumagsak sa first round si Thurman,” he said.

The Filipino fighter surely proved that he’s really dedicated to his sport and responsibilities for his country.
