Authorities Arrest Doctor in Agusan del Norte Over Drugs
DOCTOR – The authorities arrested Dr. Guillermo Almacen in Agusan del Norte due to alleged involvement in drugs.
The fight against drugs in the Philippines has not yet come to an end. More and more people are nabbed by the authorities due to their alleged involvement in the said illegal substance.
The operations conducted have led to the arrest of people coming from the different walks of life. Undeniably, many were surprised that there were professionals and famous personalities who are allegedly involved in drugs.
Recently, a person from the medical field was arrested by the authorities.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a doctor was arrested by the authorities in Agusan del Norte over his alleged involvement to drugs.
The authorities conducted a drug buy operation in Barangay Lapu-Lapu in Butuan City. Twelve(12) sachets of suspected drugs were taken from the suspect. It’s worth Php 54,400.00
Based on the report, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) spokesperson Dindo Abellanosa expressed that Almacen is a “high-value target”.
According to Abellanosa, Almacen is just allegedly new in the drug trade. He is now faced with charges over violation of Republic Act No. 9165.
