Watch Karencitta, John Roa New Song That Honors Pinoy Athletes
KARENCITTA – Internet sensation, vlogger and singer Karencitta, and John Roa released a song that honors all the Filipino athletes.
Internet sensation, vlogger, and recording artist Karen Ann “Karencitta” Cabrera is the amazing artist behind the hit song “Cebuana.”
The 23-year-old celebrity’s song topped Spotify’s viral hit charts while her Youtube video reached millions of views.
The song “Cebuana” became an anthem during the 2018 ‘Sinulog Festival.’ It was played on every streets of Cebu City.
Karencitta’s song paid tribute to all the girls in Cebu City but it was loved by most of the people in the Philippines.
Now, the Cebuana celebrity and John Roa just released a song dedicated to all the Filipino athletes.
Based on a report from Cebu Daily News, the song “Go For Gold” of Karencitta and John Roa was composed by Pio Balbuena.
“Importante na as one nation, magsupportahay ta. These athletes make me proud. Their love for the country is immeasurable and contagious. Their passion for their chosen sport is truly inspiring,” she said.
The music video of their latest song featured several Filipino athletes and the multi-titled skateboarder from Cebu, Margielyn Didal.
Didal gave pride to her country after winning the gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games.
According to the report, Karencitta said she was glad that lots of Cebuanos participated and got involved in her new song.
Aside from paying tribute to the Filipino athletes, the song also sends a message that anyone can reach their dreams by doing their best.
“Be so good at your pursuit that the whole world cannot ignore you. That is my intrinsic motivation as an artist and entrepreneur,” she said.
