Dogs have become one of the most dominant choice for people adopting animals as house pets. With their loyalty and quirkiness, people seemed to have loved them more. So much, even, that new technologies are being developed for them.

If you’re looking to get a dog, here’s a list of dog breeds that are said to be the most intelligent.

A new facial recognition software developed by AI-startup has been reported to identify dogs by scanning their noses.

Megvii really took the effort to work on this new technology that is now operational. The soft really can identify dogs from one another using biometrics by scanning their unique nose prints.

Based on the reports, the company has worked around the idea that dogs have unique nose prints and developed this software.

Dr. David Dorman – toxicology professor stated that “Like human fingerprints, each dog has a unique nose print. Some kennel clubs have used dog nose prints for identification.” explaining how the software works.

Reports revealed that the newly-developed software would only require the pet owners to take pictures of their dogs’ noses from different angles for the system to run through.

The photos will be analyzed and the software will determine markers for identification.

Currently, the software has recorded 95% accuracy in identifying dogs after having nose prints recorded.

This is according to an article from Forbes.

Megvii also revealed that evaluating the records by putting it up against a ‘larger database’ will allow “high precision” when identifying the dogs individually.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
