WEDDING TIPS – The newly-wed DJ Chacha shared some tips and practical ways for you to have the wedding of your dreams without spending too much.
It was last May when the famous radio personality DJ Chacha finally tied the knot with Michael Guevara. It was grand and all with 300 guests but in a video blog, she shared some practical tips that made them save a little.
Here are the tips mixed with jokes and all seriousness:
- Make sure that you have someone to marry – Of course, you can’t just go on a wedding and say “I Do” without someone to do it with. But kidding aside be sure that that person is really the one. If you are really firm, without any inhibitions or hesitations, that you are finally settling down with that person, then go and tie the knot.
- Wedding coordinator – If your budget would allow, never think twice to hire a wedding coordinator to have someone plan out everything and give you your dream wedding in the best possible way. You only get married once so might as well make it “bongga”. Meanwhile, if you really can’t afford, you can still make it with all the resources you have. But you can just also avail an on-the-day coordination.
- Set the budget – If you and your partner have already planned out to spend Php 500,000.00 for your wedding, stick to it. Trim down the number of guests or any factors that won’t affect the ceremony and celebration. Invite those who just matters to you and important in your lives. It’s not bad to decline someone not really significant in your wedding for accordingly, the food is among those who gets a big portion from your budget.
- Lengthy Preparation – Prepare the big event 1 year or 2 years ahead of the exact date. This tip is much practical for you can have a bit lower payment when it comes to booking of venues and videographers.
- Booking – In terms of preparing, put the booking of your venue on top of the list. Once you have decided to have it on that particular place, then go and book it immediately because there are a lot of couples out there who also want to get married planning to have a venue like your chosen one.
- Catering services – Just because this factor in every celebration takes up most of your set budget, do anything to pay lesser. Ask for freebies and among others. Ask the caterer to pay for your bridal car or anything that they can give. Never be too shy to do it.
- Wedding theme – Never hesitate to search for beautiful themes and it is not bad to ask for suggestions. But if you already have something in your mind, then go for it. It is your wedding and not anyone else’s.
- Event Stylist – Just in case you guys can’t afford to have one, the catering services you booked also has their “paandar” when it comes to table settings and that’ll do probably.
- Wedding Ring – Choose the best and fits within your budget. Also, choose a ring that will last for you will forever wear it.
- Wedding Outfits – You can have someone to design and create it in much lower prices but you can also rent. Don’t be choosy.
- Wedding Cake – Choose not just good in the eyes but also good with the tongue.
- Don’t be stressed – There will always be a small problem and a little flaw but what’s important is you both did it to be right there at that moment and a whole lifetime to be together ahead of you. A little mistake will never define how beautiful a wedding is. It will just be you and your partner.
