Erap Estrada Is Not Impressed By Isko Moreno’s Performance
ERAP ESTRADA – Former Manila mayor Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada criticized Isko Moreno’s recent contribution to Manila.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has done lots of changes in the busy streets of Metro Manila including Divisoria.
The actor turned politician and his team initiated a clearing operation and removed all the illegal vendors.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Senator Ping Lacson, residents, and motorists praised Isko Moreno for his leadership in the city.
During his press conference on July 9, the politician ordered to remove all the names of the politician that are posted in schools and hospitals.
“Pinabubura ko, pinatatanggal ko ultimo pangalan ko at pangalan ng mga politiko na nakawelding, nakapintura, nakakabit sa mga eskuwelahan,” Moreno said.
However, former Manila Mayor Erap Estrada criticized Isko Moreno’s recent contribution in Manila.
The 82-year-old former Philippine President said Moreno should not have removed the vendors from the streets of Divisoria since they have families to feed.
The statement of Erap Estrada was posted on the Facebook post of Manila Bulletin.
Estrada said the new mayor should have prepared a place for the vendors before he removed them from their post abruptly.
“Pag may Makita tayong lugar na paglilipatan sa kanila. Ibig kong sabilhin, dapat meron kang paglilipatan para kumita ‘yung mga tao…”
“Kawawa naman ‘yong mga taong nagugutom,” he said.
Erap Estrada said he can also do what Isko Moreno did when he was the mayor but he chose to consider the daily needs of the poor vendors.
“Madaling magpasikat eh, madali iyan. Isang utos ko lang, meron ‘yan.”
“Ilang taon na akong nagging Mayor sa San Juan, sa Maynila – nging President pa ako. Madali ‘yan i-utos pero titigan mo ‘yung kapakanan ng mga kapwa tao mo lalo na ‘yung mahihirap.”
