DOH Issues ‘No Parental Consent, No Vaccination’ Policy

‘No Parental Consent, No Vaccination’ DOH Says

The Department of Health (DOH) issued the ‘No Parental Consent, No Vaccination’ policy as they continue to provide free vaccination to students.

The Health Department would continue the free immunization program for kindergarten to Grade 7 students.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that school children with parental consent are the only allowed to receive the vaccination.

No Parental Consent

“Only learners with parental consent will be vaccinated after a quick health assessment and evaluation of their immunization status against measles,” Duque
said.

However, Duque also encouraged the Filipino parents to avail the government’s free vaccination services to protect their children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

The Health Secretary said that DOH aims to immunize a total of 9,913,032 schoolchildren with the school-based immunization program that would continue until September.

No Parental Consent

Duque is also counting on the public’s trust as he led the measles vaccination program in Valenzuela.
