Rico Blanco vs. PEP: Showbiz News Site’s Fiery Reply To Musician

Here’s the fiery reply from PEP to the social media rant of Rico Blanco

Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) has a fiery reply to the the social media rant of musician Rico Blanco against the article which for him has a “stupid headline“.

The showbiz news site released an article about him last July 7 with the headline, “Rico Blanco, ayaw ma-label bilang Keannu Reeves ng Pilipinas”.

This did not sit well with the musician and for him it will just get him into trouble. Through his Twitter account the former Rivermaya band member ranted against PEP.

He even got annoyed when the site “reposted” the same article.

In line with this, PEP fired back. In the recent article of entertainmemt writer Jojo Gabinete, he answered the tirade from the musician.

The writer pointed out that Rico has no right to say that reporters’ food on their table came from artists like him.

Gabinete said, “give and take,” o symbiotic, ang relasyon ng artists at ng entertainment press.”

Gabinete also said that Rico should ask himself if the showbiz news site is still willing to attend his press conference in the future, after all of the things he said on social media.

On the issue of the editorial staff having no photos on the site, the writer said that readers give more value to the article than the faces of the writers. PEP’s writing team is just working silently behind the scene, according to him.

The showbiz news site simply couldn’t accept that the musician cursed against them.

“Ganito pala ang ugali ng isang ilo-launch ng Viva Music Publishing,” the writer asked this in his article.
