The animals are really amazing and mysterious creatures ever graced the Earth coming from their behavior, their faces, and even varied characteristics. And if there are those big animals, there are the biggest, heaviest, and the tallest of their kind.

- HEAVIEST INSECT
- GOLIATH BEETLE – It has a weight up to 3.5 ounces (100 g) and could grow reaching 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in length.
- LARGEST LIVING AMPHIBIAN
- CHINESE GIANT SALAMANDER – This rare and endangered specie could weigh for up to 140 lbs (64 kg) and 6 ft (1.8 m) long.
- LARGEST LIVING BIRD
- OSTRICH – This flightless bird has a height of 9 ft (2.7m) and weight of 344 lbs (156 kg), and at 1.9 in (5 cm) in size. Their eyes are the largest among land mammals.
- LARGEST LIVING REPTILE
- SALTWATER CROCODILE – This dangerous animal could have an average length of 17 ft (5.2 m) up to 21 ft (6.3m) and weight of 21 US tons (1,900 kg).

- WHALE SHARK – These gentle giants are fed mostly of tiny plankton and indeed an impressive sight to see.
- BIGGEST BUTTERFLY
- QUEEN ALEXANDRIA’S BIRDWING (Ornithoptera alexandrae) – They are endangered already as listed by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). They have a wingspan of almost 1 foot (0.3 m) across.

- CAPYBARA (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) – They stand 2 feet (60 cm) and native to South America.
- LONGEST SNAKE
- RETICULATED PYTHON – The longest recorded is 26.2 feet (8 m) long found at a construction site in April 2016. Meanwhile, the longest one in captive is 25.1 feet (7.7 m) named Medusa.
- LARGEST LIZARD
- FORK-TONGUED KOMODO DRAGON (Varanus komodoensis) – They have a good vision and an excellent sense of small which made them the speedy and “keep-your-distance” type of predators.
- LARGEST DOG
- ZEUS (Donkey-sized Great Dane) – He reached 3.6 feets and towering 7 feet, 4 inches (2.2 m) when standing on his back legs but he died at 5 in 2014.
- LARGEST PRIMATE
- EASTERN GORILLA (Gorilla beringei) – They are critically endangered already having a height of up to 6.2 feet (1.9 m) and weighing almost 450 lbs. (205 kg).
- LARGEST LIVING ANIMAL
- BLUE WHALE (Balaenoptera musculus) – This beast measures 100 feet (30 meters) long and there is no denying that it is the largest indeed.
