ANIMAL FUN FACTS – Here are some amazing facts about these animals on the list we should be aware of when it comes to their speed.
Human can run as fast as 40 miles an hour in theory based on research but this speed is no good with these fastest animals on the list below! Find out.
- BROWN HARE – They have the same speed as the red fox, their predator, which reaches 77 kilometer per hour or 48 miles per hour.
- BLUE WILDEBEEST – The Springbok and the Thompson’s gazelle can run at 80 kilometer per hour or 50 miles per hour which is almost the same on top speed of a lion.
- MARLIN – They can swim at 80 kph or 50 mph beating the Sail Fish, the fastest fish.
- PRONGHORN ANTELOPE – The are the 2nd fastest land animal at 98kph (60mph) speed out-sprinting their predators.
- SAIL FISH – The can go at a speed of 110kph (68mph).
- CHEETAH – They undeniably are the fastest at a speed of 113 kph or 70 mph which is three time faster than the top running speed of a human.
- SPUR-WINGED GOOSE – They are the largest goose and also the fastest at 142kph (88mph).
- FRIGATE BIRD – They have a speed of 153kph(95mph) considering of having the largest wingspan to any bird’s body weight ratio. Talk about speed and endurance, they can stay flying for over a week at a time.
- WHITE THROATED NEEDLETAIL – They have recorded a top speed of 171kph or 106mph.
- PEREGRINE FALCON – The fastest bird and the fastest animal which can dive steeply at 322kph (200mph) and cruising speeds of up to 90 kph (56mph).
