Water Vendor Returns ₱130,000 Cash Left In Kalibo Airport

WATER VENDOR – A water vendor was recently praised for discovering and returning the ₱130,000 that was left in the toilet room.

According to ABS-CBN, the vendor was identified as LJ Alejandro, who said on Wednesday that he was about to use the toilet when he discovered a black pouch.

When Alejandro opened the pouch, it contained cash that worth ₱130,000. He hurriedly went to his stub to tell what he recently found and went to the Kalibo Airport Police Station to present the cash to the authorities.

The black pouch also contained the ID of the owner, now identified as Yihe Hong, a 33-year-old Chinese national. On that same day, Hong went to the station to report her lost pouch.

As per the report, the police confirmed that the pouch belonged to her, thus, Alejandro turned it over to Hong. In return, Hong gave a portion of the money to the vendor.

The police station urged the public to be alert and on the look out for any lost items. If found, the person will go to the local police station
