PHYSICAL SCIENCE – Study Of Non-Living Things And The Following Fields

PHYSICAL SCIENCE – In this topic, we will talk about one of the main branches of science that deals with the study of non-living things: physical science.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE

This branch primarily deals with the study of non-living things, like matter, energy, space and time.  Whenever you observe the things that move around you, you are technically examining one of its fields.

Here are the following four main branches:

  • Physics – it is the study of matter and its motion through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force.
  • Astronomy – the study of heavenly or celestial objects (e.g. as stars, galaxies, planets, etc), the physics, chemistry, and evolution of these objects, and the phenomena that came from outside the atmosphere of Earth.
  • Chemistry – the study of the composition, structure, properties and change of matter.
  • Geology – also known as earth science, it deals with everything about the planet Earth.
