Here’s what Teresa Loyzaga shared about the “depression” of Diego Loyzaga

Seasoned actress Teresa Loyzaga opened up about the “depression” that her son Kapamilya actor Diego Loyzaga experienced.

Diego went out of the limelight suddenly as rumors circulated on social media regarding his alleged suicide attempt.

His role in the Kapamilya afternoon drama series Los Bastardos was cut short. The camp of the actor remained silent about this, even the management of ABS-CBN.

Amid the speculations, Diego, apparently went abroad until the issue subsided. Just recently, he shared a photo on his Twitter account showing that he visited Camiguin. With this, his fans got excited and anticipated his showbiz comeback.

During the recent July 1 episode of Kapamilya morning talk show Magandang Buhay, Teresa Loyzaga confirmed that her son will return to show business one of these days.

Prior to this change confirmation, the seasoned actress opened up about depression. Host Melai Cantiveros asked her to shared about this.

She said that she will speak in general and not just focusing on what happened to Diego.

Parang napansin ko lang sa society natin, hindi masyadong napag-uusapan ang depression.

At the more na hindi natin ito pinag-uusapan, the more hindi natin ito maiintindihan. Maipapayo ko lang, kung meron kayong pinagdadaanan… Kahit ako dumaan din ako sa depression, nung na-realize ko mag-isa na lang ako and all that, you deal with it one step at a time,” Teresa shared.

She also encouraged depressed people to talk to family and friends. “In my case, ‘I’m your mom, tell me, make me part of that. ‘It’s not your problem alone, problem natin iyan. So, ang solusyon, sa atin din,” she shared.

The actress also said, “Wag mo sosolohin. Kung ikaw lang mag-isa, masisiraan ka.'”

Teresa Loyzaga added that though she is ready to help her children, she needs to let them learn also on their own.

Basta ang alam ko, hindi ako magkukulang sa pagpayo ko, sa pag-remind both my children, di ba? Kasi they’re not little anymore. They’re grownups,” she explained.

As a mother, the seasoned actress said that she will help her children as much as she can and be with them.
