Maine Mendoza, Carlo Aquino Team Up In ABS-CBN’s Upcoming Romcom Movie
MAINE MENDOZA – GMA-7 artist Maine Mendoza is set to do a movie with Carlo Aquino under Black Sheep Films.
Phenomenal star Maine Mendoza is one of the hosts of the Kapuso noontime variety show Eat Bulaga.
The 24-year-old celebrity is currently dating the ABS-CBN actor Arjo Atayde. The rumored couple was seen in various instances like her Alumni Homecoming and Taiwan trip.
Maine Mendoza’s tandem was her Eat Bulaga co-host, Alden Richards. The handsome actor just finished taping his new movie with the Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo.
Now, the phenomenal star was offered to star in a movie with the prominent actor Carlo Aquino.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Maine Mendoza immediately answered ‘yes’ when she was offered to do a movie under Black Sheep film.
“Hindi na ako nag-isip. Go na. Super na-excite ako bigla. Doon sa story din kasi, very interesting,” the actress said.
The upcoming film of Maine and Carlo will be directed by Prime Cruz titled “Isa Pa With Feelings.”
The director briefly shared that the new movie will be about two broken-hearted people who will eventually find each other.
According to the report, the Kapuso actress said she was surprised when she was told about the movie project because she’s one of the biggest fan Carlo Aquino.
“Nagulat ako pero in a good way naman. Happy kasi I really do want to work with him, lalo na nung napanood ko ‘yung ‘Meet Me in St. Gallen’ na nag-fan girl ako sa kanya,”
She was also asked if she’s ready for the reactions of her die hard fans considering she’s Alden Richard’s love team partner.
“Ready naman ako sa kung anong ire-react nila. I was born ready. Ang fresh ng team up. Abangan natin. Titignan ko sa Twitter kung anong response. Sana [positive], bago rin kasi and from two different networks nga,” she said.
Based on the report, Maine Mendoza also talked about her upcoming movie and what moviegoers could expect.
“Kakaiba siya. Something new. ‘Yun lang ang masasabi namin ngayon. Nung pini-pitch sa akin ito, ‘Talaga, ganyan?’ ‘Yun lang ang nasabi ko. Very unique,” said Maine.
The actress is surely excited to work with an artist from other tv network.
