SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy is dubbed the ‘World’s Most Powerful Rocket‘ but SpaceX refuted the claim saying it was just the ‘biggest in operation today’. The rocket has been launched before carrying the space company’s CEO Elon Musk’s cherry red Tesla roadster towards an orbit close to the planet Mars.

With huge technological advancements, the rocket has been developed with so many practical and unique features.

The Falcon Heavy rocket, for the STP-2 mission, was launched again at around 2:30 am yesterday, June 25, 2019.

This recent space flight is also considered historic as this is the first time that people witnessed a rocket’s boosters being reused for another take off.

The rocket took off yesterday from the Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center located in Florida. The flight was delayed for about three hours for maintenance.

After the take off, the two boosters came off separated from the main body and returned successfully.

However, the center core, after detaching around a minute after the other boosters, got too far away from the ground for a landing attempt to Kennedy Space Center.

So instead, it was set to land on the drone ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ located a few hundred miles from Florida coast.

But it missed the ship and landed in the ocean just a small distance away from the ship and exploded.

This is according to an article from Interesting Engineering.

Engineers from the company has been looking into the missed landing.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
