A man in Bangaladesh named Abul Bajandar has been suffering an extremely rare disease called Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis.

The 28-year-old Bangladesh man has a tree trunk-like warts that weigh about 4 kilos on both hands and feet.

Based on a report from Inquirer, the Bangladeshi has had 25 removal surgeries since 2016. Warts just kept on growing.

The doctors in Dhaka clinic believed that they treated the ‘tree man’ but he skipped going for further treatment after the relapse.

In January, Bahandar was rushed to the hospital because his health condition worsened and warts grew even longer.

“I cannot bear the pain anymore. I can’t sleep at night. I asked the doctors to cut off my hands so I can at least get some relief,” he said.

According to the report, the mother of the Bangladeshi, Amina Bibi, supported his request.

“At least he will be free of pain. It’s a hellish condition,” Amina said.

The ‘tree man’ said he wants to go abroad with hopes for better treatment, but he does not have money to pay the hospital bills.

Based on the report, the chief plastic surgeon at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Samanta Lal Sen, said she and her fellow doctors will discuss his condition.

“He gave his personal opinion. But we will do whatever is the best solution for him,” she said.

Surely, the doctors were hoping to save his hands and just remove the warts. But whatever their decision is, it is for the wellness of the ‘tree man.’
