VICE GANDA – The veteran comedian made jokes about running for president recently on the noontime variety show Showtime.
Jose Marie Borja Viceral, popularly known as Vice Ganda is a successful Filipino comedian, actor and song artist who appears regularly as a host at the noontime show: It’s Showtime.
Recently, he shared about his struggles in the past from selling rags to becoming one of the most iconic comedians in the country.
The comedian shared his two cents on the previous reports of the ABS CBN’s franchise’ bill for renewal being on freeze.
ABS-CBN Network’s franchise is set to expire next year by March 20, 2020. President Duterte also released a statement recently saying that he is not looking to renew it because of his prior issues regarding the network.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda made statements enticing hilarity on the noontime show.
It was when Vhong Navarro – Vice Ganda’s co-host – asked him if he had any plans to run for politics. After noticing he’s knowledge on the anti-fencing law.
Vice responded jokingly, saying:
“Ay, naku, may balak ako. Antayin niyo ako, President agad. [Oh my, I have plans. You wait for me, President right away.]”
He also joked about having a conversation with the president:
“Sabi ni Digong [President Duterte] sa akin, ‘Pagkatapos ko, ikaw magiging Presidente. Ako bahala.’[Digong told me, ‘After my term, you will be president. I’ll see to it.]”
This is according to an article from MSN News.
Vice apparently told the people to wait for his campaign as he will become the next president after President Rodrigo Duterte’s term. He also jokingly claimed to taked the highest positions right away, also being unsure about ABS CBN’s franchise’ renewal.
He then clarified later on that the statement were let out as a joke.
That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
