The New Toy Story Movie Debuted And Topped Box Office Charts
TOY STORY – The Toy Story movie series’ sequel made so much on its debut to top the Box Office charts, but not enough to reach studio expectation.
The animated movie series has been around for quite some time that most fans are grown-ups by now. Toy Story features adventurous storylines and presents lessons in different scenarios.
In a poll taken with 5000 grown-ups, Toy Story was amongst the most recommended movie for kids.
The new movie’s plot revolves around the adventure of the gang of toys with their new friend ‘Forky’. The gang ends up reuniting with a long lost friend ‘Bo Beep’ and things start getting complicated.
As families got to the nearest cinemas, Toy Story 4 turns out to be a big hit. But it seems like it did not make enough to reach Disney’s expectations.
The sequel as a decade-old series, made about $118 million after opening at North American boc office last weekend. It made more than the R-rated Chucky movie ‘Child’s Play’ and ‘Aladdin’.
It made $238 million dollars worldwide.
The studio expected it would make at least $140 million.
The movie sequel casting was also pretty interesting considering Tom Hanks and Tim Allen voicing the characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
On a Rotten Tomatoes poll, the movie got 98% rating. It had positive reviews from several sites.
The ratings could spur more audience for the sequel in the coming days.
Paul Dergarabedian – a senior media analyst at ComScore, told CNN business that record-setting for an opening on weekend is not as important as staying stong over the years.
He explained saying: “This is a movie that’s in it for the long haul, both in North America and worldwide.”
This is according to an article form CNN Business.
