8-Year-Old Pinoy Chess Player Achieved 3 Silvers At ASEAN Chess Competition
ASEAN – An 8-year-old Pinoy chess player named Daniela Bianca Cruz won 3 silver medals last week at an ASEAN chess competition.
According to an article by GMA News, she gained these medals from three categories in ASEAN chess, which was held in Mandalay, Myanmar.
The 8-year-old came from Malolos, Bulacan. Her father said that she learned how to play chess when she was two years old.
Daniela then started competing in chess when she was five years old. It was then recently that she joined the competition in Myanmar and bagged the 3 medals.
As per the article, even though she did not gain any gold medal, Daniela said that she will do better in playing chess.
“Mas gagalingan ko po maglaro (ng) chess.”
