Banda Sea in Indonesia Hit By 7.5 Magnitude Earthquake

EARTHQUAKE – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 7.5 magnitude quake in Banda Sea, Indonesia.

Undeniably, strong quakes have recently occurred in the different places across the globe. Some have led to the loss of lives and damage of properties while others caused no injuries and damages.

With regards to the monitoring of the said natural calamities, there are specific agencies that record details about them.

Recently, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a strong quake in a part of Indonesia.

Earthquake

Based on a recent report on Strait Times, the USGS recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 in Banda Sea, Indonesia.

Banda Sea is a remote area in the country. The quake that hit the said area had a depth of 220 km. As of this writing, there are no reports of damages or injuries caused by the quake.

Also, based on the report, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii has also not issued an advisory regarding a possible tsunami following the quake.
