Throughout the history of bank robberies, this could be considered one of the most bizarre cases. It’s crazy how people could actually pull of thievery stunts like this.

In a separate report, a female gamer attempted to rob a bank to buy a “skin” for her character in the game: Mobile Legends.

Meanwhile, in the Barclays’ Bournemouth town centre, a man was seen robbing a bank by threatening the cashier with a banana.

The man, identified as Laurence Vonderdell, is 50 years old. He came up to the cashier with a orange plastic bag concealing a banana.

He then proceeded with the robbery by pointing his supposed weapon at the cashier and announcing:

“This is a stick up, give me the cash.”

Scared, the cashier decided to give the man more than 1000 Euros in 20 euro notes.

The robber then took the money and walked out of the establishment right after he got what he wanted.

After a while, the man turned himself in. Last Monday, the robber was sentenced at the Bournemouth Crown Court.

He admittedly stated that he did commit the crime of robbery carrying a banana in a plastic bag.

Eventually, the court has came to a decision and sentenced him to 14 months of jail.

This is according to an article from Evening Standard.

Bournemouth CID’s Det Cons Andy Hale, also disclosed some information about the incident saying:

“Even though the defendant handed himself in shortly after this incident and the cash was recovered, this must still have been a very distressing incident for the cashier involved.”

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
