Men Suspectedly Aboard A Motorcycle Shot Zamboanga del Norte Councilor
ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE COUNCILOR – A member of Sangguniang Bayan in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte was shot while driving early Wednesday, June 19.
Undeniably, several politicians have lost their lives due to unexpected incidents planned out by other individuals. The motives may vary and each needs a thorough investigation.
Recently, in a town in Zamboanga del Norte, an unexpected incident has taken the life of one of the members of its Sangguniang Bayan.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, Zamboanga del Norte Councilor Cicero Gurrea was driving his jeepney when he was shot early Wednesday morning.
The Sangguniang Bayan member was supposed to take the students to school for free. It was reportedly one of his campaign promises to provide a service for the students when he was still running for councilor.
Based on the report, Sindangan Municipal Police Station Major Hartzel Peter Billedo, it is possible that the suspects already knew the routine of the victim as he usually drives the kids to school every morning.
Billedo expressed that the suspects may be aboard a motorcycle when the incident happened or a “riding-in-tandem”.
Unfortunately, the Councilor did not survive the incident based on the report. It is still investigated if there are kids who were wounded due to the incident.
Currently, an investigation to find out the motive of the suspects is still ongoing as well.
